Rough carpenters are in-demand for building concrete forms. For footings, slabs, walls, columns, bridge decks, side walks.
Formwork carpenters, work along side of deck builders, craft laborers. As a carpenter apprentice, you’ll get to explore the whole field of carpentry. Throughout the program, you will also gain the valuable skills that are highly sought after in the carpentry trade. Carpenters may also assemble metal prefab forms.
Salary range
The salary range for a rough carpenter in the United States in 2023 is between $23.00 to 56.00 per hour.
Job market
There is currently a growing demand for carpenters in the United States. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates the industry to grow at a rate of 2 per cent over the next decade.
Throughout the decade, the Bureau states that there will be 91, 200 job openings each year in the United States.
